• Bone tumours are abnormal growths from within bony tissue that may be benign or malignant.
  • They may present as external swellings and can occur near a joint commonly the knee.
  • Common bone tumours include:
    • Benign – Osteoid Osteoma, Giant Cell Tumours,
    • Malignant – Osteosarcoma, Ewings Sarcoma, Chondrosarcoma
  • Symptoms to seek urgent assessment by the clinic are any swelling
  • Bigger than 5cm
  • Deep swelling
  • Pain
  • Increasing in size
  • Pain at night, no trauma
