July is Sarcoma Awareness Month. This month long observance aims to educate and increase awareness of this disease, particularly around the benefits of early diagnosis.

The importance of early diagnosis of soft tissue sarcoma.

As with all cancers, early diagnosis is important for effective treatment, and this is particularly important for soft tissue sarcoma. Sarcoma is a relatively rare cancer, yet still affects over 5000 people in the UK. Symptoms can often present as a painless lump under the skin of the the arms or legs. Being painless in the early stages means the condition is often ignored until much later, when treatment options become more intensive. We want to raise awareness of sarcoma and help people to take early action.
